Bagan, a historic
capital, known as city of four million
pagodas, is the richest archaeological site
in Asia . The city of Bagan covers an area
of 42 sq. km containing over 2,000 edifices.
The majority of these well preserved temples
and pagodas offer a rich architectural
heritage form the 11th to 13th century era.
The city is pleasantly
and beautifully situated on the eastern bank
of majestic Ayeyarwady River and surrounded
by blue hazy mountains.
Although Myanmar has
three seasons, travellers can visit Bagan
the whole year round even in the raining
season, as there is light shower in Bagan.
