Meet on arrival at Yangon International Airport.
If arriving by morning or mid-day flight, transfer to hotel. Proceed for a sightseeing tour that includes the old colonial – style city centre with the gilded SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2,000 years, BOGYOKE (SCOTTS) MARKET (closed on Monday) with hundreds of stores and gems shops. The tour continues to CHAUK HTAT GYI, a huge reclining Buddha image followed by a photo stop at KARAWEIK HALL, a royal floating barge. An extended visit to SHWEDAGON PAGODA, one of the world’s most spectacular religious Pagoda rises 98 metres above its base and is covered with over 30 tons of pure gold. If arriving on late afternoon flight, transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight in Yangon.

Day 02 - Yangon - Sittwe - Mrauk Oo (by flight/ boat)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to SITTWE, capital and main port of RAKHINE (Arakan) State. On arrival, transfer to jetty to join simple boat for the 70km (6-8 hours) journey upriver to the ancient former capital of MARUK OO. Picnic lunch will be taken during boat journey. On arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 03 - Mrauk Oo

Proceed for sightseeing of the nearby ancient city with remains of walls, gateways and the unusual 16th century temples such as the maze-like "SHITTHAUNG" shrine of 80,000 images. Dinner at a simple local restaurant and overnight in Mrauk Oo.

Day 04 - Mrauk Oo - Waythali (Vesali)- Sittwe (by boat)

Early morning, starts for drive on open truck to WAYTHALI (Vesali). The 10km distance will take about an hour. Sightseeing includes remains of WALLS, DEFENSIVE MOAT SYSTEM, CENTRAL PALACE, and 5 metres high seated BUDDHA. Return to Mrauk Oo and visit to ANDAWTHEIN TEMPLE, YADANA PON PAYA STUPA and DUKKANTHEIN TEMPLE. Early afternoon, join boat for return journey downriver to SITTWE with picnic lunch on board. Dinner at a simple local restaurant and overnight in Sittwe.

Day 05 - Sittwe - Yangon Departure (by flight)

Visit to Sittwe's main market, where fisher folk town and rural people come to buy and sell fish and general supplies.
Transfer to airport for return flight to YANGON. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 06 - Yangon Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for departure flight.
